SolarChef Showcases Solar Cooking Innovation at EPD RE4SG Conference, Gains Interest from Rwandan Minister of Infrastructure

SolarChef had the honor of presenting its groundbreaking solar-powered cooking solution at the EPD RE4SG (Renewable Energy for Sustainable Growth) Conference in Kigali, Rwanda, in September 2024. This international event, focused on advancing energy sustainability and access, gathered key stakeholders from the energy sector, including government representatives, technology innovators, and NGOs.

During the conference, SolarChef’s team met with Rwanda’s Minister of Infrastructure, Jimmy Gazore. The Minister showed keen interest in SolarChef’s solar-powered induction cooking solutions, which are designed to provide an eco-friendly, efficient alternative to traditional cooking methods reliant on biomass fuels. With Rwanda’s focus on reducing deforestation and advancing clean energy, Minister Gazore highlighted the potential of SolarChef’s technology to contribute to Rwanda’s environmental and energy goals, especially for off-grid and rural communities.

The meeting underscored the alignment between SolarChef’s mission and Rwanda’s sustainable development vision, and both parties expressed enthusiasm for exploring collaborative opportunities to bring SolarChef’s innovative solutions to Rwanda. SolarChef is excited about the potential for future partnerships to support clean energy adoption and improve quality of life through sustainable cooking solutions.
